Marketing Coordinator (MD)

PHE is an innovative environmental, planning, and technology consulting firm.  Our engineers, scientists, and planners are engaged in complex programs and projects solving today’s most pressing environmental, climate change, energy, and national security challenges.  We are currently seeking a growth oriented individual, that is interested in gaining diverse work experience in a collaborative work environment, for a full-time Marketing Coordinator position in our Rockville, Maryland office.

The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating proposals, creating and conducting presentations, compiling research for marketing materials, and completing government forms for a proposal submittal. In addition, the Coordinator will maintain PHE’s social media accounts, website content, marketing materials, and consult with exterior vendors and partners. This position requires the ability to collaborate with teams of scientists, engineers, and other PHE personnel, and the skills to effectively interact with existing and potential clients.The position requires some out of town travel.

Responsibilities

  • Plan Marketing Activities

  • Delegate and coordinate with other personnel

  • Develop and maintain resumes, project descriptions, and brochure content

  • Work with technical staff to develop proposal sections and capability statements

  • Plan marketing mailings and coordinate with staff to develop content

  • Create and update social media and website information

  • Coordinate with support consultants and teaming partners

  • Plan and coordinate social events

  • Research target markets and clients

  • Involvement in professional organizations (SAME, SMPS, etc.)

  • Support various administrative office functions

Skill Sets

  • Excellent language skills in English

  • Excellent communication skills, including interpersonal, verbal, and written

  • Skills in graphic design and publication layout (InDesign experience a plus)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and desktop publishing software

  • Knowledge of federal procurement process and proposal (SF 330 experience a plus)

  • Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint

  • Understanding of environmental consulting and/or engineering industry terminology

  • Working knowledge of marketing databases and proposal resources files

  • Understanding of basic marketing principals

  • Website administration experience plus

  • Positive, friendly, and professional personality

  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in teams

  • High degree of flexibility and ability to manage multiple time-critical tasks simultaneously

  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills

  • Ability to work independently

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Communications, or related field

  • 3+ years of marketing experience within the A/E/C industry

  • Preparation towards Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) certification a plus
